Marc Rhys

Marc Rhys (born ''Marc Alun Williams''; September 8, 1988 in Bridgend, South Wales), the youngest son of teachers Nevin and Jean Williams. Rhys attended Pencoed Comprehensive School before training as an Actor in Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts. Whilst in Secondary school, Rhys showed a talent for sport, playing Professional Football for Cardiff City FC and Wales as well as representing Great British TAGB Tae Kwon Do in the 2006 World Championships - where he managed to reach the Quarter-Finals. Alumni of Bridgend Youth Theatre, Welsh National Opera and National Youth Dance Wales. Rhys's Second Language is Welsh.
== Career ==

Rhys has been working as a professional actor since graduating with a 2:1 in 2011.
His TV and Film work includes:
* Sky 1's award winning series ''Stella'' starring Ruth Jones, playing opposite Patrick Baladi, directed by Simon Massey.
* A run of TV movies on ITV and BBC with "It's my Shout" Films - Bone Orchard, A Night on the Tiles, Down, They Might be Giants and Pleasure Park - with Owen Teale, Richard Harrington, Jan Anderson and Rachel Issac
* British Film Institute (BFI) 48 Hour short listed "Accumulation".
* The Viking Epic "Noble Claim" playing the lead role of "Erik Jora". A "Jack in the Box" film about the relationship between feuding brothers Erik and Olaf (played by Henry Douthwaite). Olaf is Heir to the throne and believes Erik is plotting against him. Due to be released in 2015. Filmed in Snowdonia, Wales.
While out in America, Rhys worked with Adam Sigal and Red Shogun Pictures in the dark comedy "The Two Dogs" starring Desperate Housewives' Gale Harold. Also to be released in 2015. Filmed in Los Angeles.
His Theatre credits include: "The Wish of My Heart" that was performed in front of his Royal Highness The Prince of Wales with Welsh National Opera.
"Mission Impossible" with the immersive theatre company Future Cinema, in which Rhys played the lead role of Ethan Hunt (Made famous by Tom Cruise) playing opposite Elizabeth Hurley.
Rhys played Joe The Lodger in Action to the Word's multi-award winning production of "A Clockwork Orange" touring to Norway, he Also created the role of Arthur Holmwood in their 2014 actor/muso production of "Dracula".
"Alice in Wonderland" with SellaDoor at Greenwich Theatre. Several Rapid Write Responses with Theatre 503 in 2011 and 2012.
While training, Rhys performed in Richard II, The Cherry Orchard, Company (musical), Midsummer Nights Dream, Mad World my Masters & Spring Awakening.
Welsh Language TV and Film includes BAFTA Cymru award winning "Cymru Fach" and S4C's "Compassionate". Rhys also appeared on Pop Factori as himself after the 2006 Tae Kwon Do World Championships.
